Pink Fairytale wedding Cake
here's an ivory and pink version of the very popular Fairytale wedding cake. All the edges of the details are softly dusted with a light pink edible dust which gives a really delicate feel to this cake.

Teaching in Qatar
I have just returned from Qatar, where I was asked to help set up a cupcake business and train the workers. I stayed in a gorgeous luxury hotel, and had a fun time trying out different recipes with local ingredients, and training the bakers to make sugar flowers and various decoration techniques.
And some rabbits and chicks in the souk. (I'm not condoning this by the way, I think it's very wrong to do this to the animals, but I thought you may like to see.)

Wedding Shows
We recently took part in the Designer Wedding Show at Battersea, and The National Wedding Show at Olympia. Both went really well, we had loads of enquiries and made loads of useful contacts. I'm still working through all the enquiries we had, so I expect to inundated with brides coming for consultations and cake tastings over the next few weeks.

Wedding shows
I'm exhibiting at both The Designer Wedding Show at at Battersea Park on February 11 -13, and The National Wedding Show at Olympia on February 19 -21. I've been preparing madly for both shows, and there's so much to do, buying furniture, sorting out print materials, let alone finishing off the cakes I'll be showing.
I've also seen some lovely couples recently who want to order cakes for their wedding. I'm really excited, there are some really lovely designs, and I'll post pictures when they're finished.
Check out these blogs who have all written some fabulous features about us.

Silhouette cupcakes
Some wedding cupcakes I took to the wonderful Not On The High Street.com for their latest bridal photoshoot
Hello
Hi, I'm Rosalind and here's a bit about me and my wedding cake company. www.rosalindmillercakes.com
We're based in London and will be "officially" launching at the National Wedding Show at London Olympia on 18-20 February 2011. And by the way all wedding cakes ordered at The National Wedding show are eligible for a 10% discount. Contact me if you'd like a ticket, but be quick as I only have a limited number.
I also run Peggy's Cupcakes where we make delicious exquisite couture cupcakes, which have been described as “edible works of art"!
My previous incarnations have been as an artist, graphic designer, and Senior Lecturer at Central St Martins College of Art.
I have recently finished filming for Wedding TV’s “The Great Cake Bake” which is due to air in February 2011. This was a pretty nerve wracking experience, never having been filmed before. Perhaps I'd better not say too much until the programme has been on. I'll let you know when.
My kitchen is huge since I decided last year to extend it and have a dedicated
area for baking rather than rent a commercial kitchen. I love working from home
and not having to commute. I'm usually working along to cheesy 60's pop songs,
or radio 4, though I can never work out whats happening in the afternoon play as
I'm concentrating so much on the cake! It always looks like chaos when I'm in
the midst of baking or decorating, but as I also run baking and decorating
classes there I do have to keep it in some sort of order!
Unfortunately being a cake decorator isn't good for the figure, and my new years
resolution is to make cake pops from the leftover cake rather than scoffing it.
(Though you always have to try some, just for quality control you understand!).
Most of my customers contact me by email before coming for a consultation. The
prospective bride and groom can taste different flavours of cake; a few of which
are Madagscan Vanilla sponge, Banana, Carrot Walnut and Ginger, Raspberry,
Double Chocolate, Lemon, Elderflower, Lavender and Rose, Red Velvet. We discuss
their preferences for flavours, and whether they want different flavours for
each tier of the cake. We will talk about their own design ideas, themes and
colours for their wedding, and together come up with a cake design they're happy
with, either based on one of my previous cakes adapted in some way, or a
completely bespoke design.
My design ideas may come from some of my previous design work or paintings, as in the Ivory Rose cake, (my most popular design), which was based on one of my paintings. Inspiration is drawn from anywhere and everywhere; interiors, fashion, nature, textiles, a piece of vintage lace or jewellery, or designs on vintage tea sets.
I'll be posting lots of pics of new cakes here, so keep looking. x
